We exist to restore hope in the lives of others

Deborah Salone Parish
Executive Director

Deborah Salone Parish was born to the parentage of Mr. & Mrs. Wilford Salone, Sr. She is a lifelong resident of Dallas Texas. She attended and graduated from St Peter Academy. She attended the University of Dallas in Irving and graduated from Southern Methodist University of Dallas TX.

Deborah has worked in Accounting for over 20 years at the following companies; 13+ years at the Southland Corporation, 2+ years at Colortyme, Inc, 4+ years at PNI Distribution, Inc and formed Parish Consulting in January, 1999.

Deborah entered the Non Profit sector in June of 2000, with the American Cancer Society where she began as the Program Coordinator for the “We Care About Kids” Program. She later became the Metro Area Manager for the Mabel Meshack White South Dallas office of the American Cancer Society. She was primarily responsible for outreach in the southern sector of Dallas with the mission of saving lives through research, advocacy, education and service. She managed the day to day operations of the office, located in the Martin Luther King Center and was responsible for two major signature fundraising events (Relay For Life). She maintained and help to train several volunteers. She staffed and maintained the Black American Cancer Connection (BACC) the advisory board to the Mable Meshack White South Dallas Outreach Center.

From May 2004 through December 2005, Deborah served as the Program Coordinator for the FaithLEAP Early Childhood Experimental Program. She was responsible for assisting with the strategy and execution of 20 Faith based and Community based sites and recruiting of volunteers for this trial study. FaithLEAP is a reading readiness program for 3 and 4 year olds with their parents and or caregivers. The goal of this program was to make sure that children were ready to read and ready to learn when they entered kindergarten. This program was inspired because most of the states now predict their prison cells needs on the success or failure of second graders. Additionally statistics prove that if a child cannot read by the end of the third grade, their self concept suffers, they cannot learn well in school, begin to fail, and ultimately drop out of school.;

Volunteering became Deborah’s main focus from January 2006 through April 2007 as she became the Coordinator of the Campaign to elect Donald Parish for City Council, District 7.
